The fault does not reside with the army, the simple fact is that they do not have a enough troops at their disposal to do the job, every time companies of troops are caught isolated from the source of need, this is one reason the army can only use aircraft to respond to initial BH attacks(this is very inefficient) because troops are out of position, one does not have to be a rocket scientist to realize that a convoy of vehicles traveling at night for an early morning raid on the army barrack originated from a radius of 50 -70km they (BH) probably travelled a maximum of 3-4 hours under the cover of darkness so you ask the question why they not seen? also security intelligence should be able to narrow the area down by querying petrol stations that have sold large quantities of petrol that BH needed to fuel its vehicles for the raid, BH are able to get in and out mainly because there is not enough boots on the ground it took 2 hours before the army could respond why? they needed to organize, why? the troops scattered across the area the barracks are empty only few troops and solider wives inside. The government needs to acknowledge and commit itself to this problem of BH this is some of the real criticism leveled at Goodluck that he lacks leadership qualities does not seem to care or want this issue to go away. this issue should be top priority for him give the army what it needs and spend money on the problem, triple the number of troops available. the army needs the capacity to surround entire areas and verify the inhabitants check their compounds and houses and at the same time still have enough troops to respond developing situations in surrounding areas
