2. Why use the name ‘Christmas’
3. Why commemorate the birthday of the Holy Son of GOD with Santa Claus, fireworks, etc
4. Why does it appear like the celebration of Christmas has brought more evil that good? Cos it appears to be the time when more evil is being done just in keeping with the manner of celebration of the sun god
5. What was the original reason for the commencement of Christmas celebration? Why did the apostles not start it?
The answers to these questions will reveal to you that many things are wrong with the way a lot of us take Christianity on a very light note.
Following Jesus is a matter of life & death, it’s not wrong to question anything that’s done in His name.
I personally think, from the facts available, that THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTMAS, IT’S NOMENCLATURE, THE MODALITIES OF IT’S CELEBRATION ,THE ATTITUDE OF MOST OF THOSE THAT CELEBRATE IT (PROBABLY THE AFTERMATH OF IT’S ORIGIN AND NOMENCLATURE) are all wrong.
However, if any one sets aside all these, and out of reverence and appreciation for GOD, decides to celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I don’t think it is wrong . You cannot celebrate a person so severely and not work hard to resemble Him in every way. We know how we strive to even dress and talk like the men we call our mentor and celebrate.
Finally, LET’S NOT BE MASTERS OF ARGUMENT, GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST, STUDY YOUR BIBLE AND LIVE UNDER THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST, GOD WILL INSTRUCT YOU ON ANY CONTENTIOUS ISSUE IF ONLY YOU ASK IN FAITH(PHILIPPIANS CHAPTER 3 VS15)
