This PM News report is very senseless and prejudiced. There is no economic sense in the comparison – a comparison which is out of context. Between the criminal acts committed with the use of motorbikes on one hand and those committed with the use of cars and speedboats on the other hand, which group is in the majority? No doubt, it is the latter group. So why persecute the poor okada man for mere trifling?
Gone are the days of people-thinking politicians. What we have today in Nigeria are sheer impostors, leeches and blockheads in government. And they are the worse criminals, the more lawless people, the worse thieves compared with the okada men who live from hand to mouth in their daily toils. In fact the terrible economic condition in which the okada man finds himself today has been created by these wicked politicians who for years have pillaged the people’s treasury, appropriating to themselves humungous emoluments for doing virtually no work for the progress of the country.
If today there is a revolt or a military coup I wager that these leeches will all be wiped away from the face of the earth. Short of this happening, they should await God’s judgement!
